When it comes to gratitude, the words that come to my mind are happy, joyful, thankfulness, gratefulness, powerful, passionate, etc. All of these are positive and energetic expression. An attitude of gratitude means making it a conscious habit to express thankfulness and appreciation in your life. When you develop an attitude of gratitude, you feel happier, more positive and compassionate. Sometimes it’s not the thing or matter that makes us joyful, it's our attitude on how we see the thing or matter that makes us joyful. An attitude of gratitude is a powerful emotion that truly derives from innermost being. To me, gratitude is attitude!

Education
I’m thankful for education because it gives me the opportunity to broaden my horizons. It changes my perspective about the way I see the world. The most important one, I believe, is education which helps me grow in confidence.

Employment
“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
By Confucius
I’m employed!! And, I’m grateful for having an ideal job, which I love very much. And, with the job, I can have goals, purpose and identity! My life becomes meaningful.

Home and Family
To me, home is a secure shelter and safest space for me. And, I’m grateful to have a warm and cosy home, with a loving family. they cherish me always and I believe, forever. I can reset myself, both mentally and physically, and find peace from the busy outside world. I can feel that I’m protected.

Physical appearance
No one is perfect. I’m grateful to have good facial features and to be physically abled. When I was a kid, I always thought that I was ugly compared to my peers and had low self-esteem. When I grew up, I realized that “comparison is the thief of joy”. Then, I start to appreciate my physical trait and I realized it’s attractive.

Good health
Good health doesn’t necessarily mean the absence of ailment. I remember my mom was taking care of me day and night whenever I was sick. And, everybody should be grateful for having the chance to recover. It might be an alarm calling, reminding you to slow down your pace and have a rest.

Money
I’m grateful because I have savings in my bank account. I’m richer than many others who are burdened with debt and cash crisis. Again, this makes me feel secure.

Challenges
I love challenges, because they make me stronger. Without them, I would hardly make an effort to grow. I’m thankful because I have been given the opportunity to become better because of challenges. “There’s always a rainbow after a storm.” I take these challenges as encouragements to be successful.

Problems / Troubles
I’m grateful to have the chance to deal with problems, sometimes, in my life. Although it’s tough, they are opportunity for me to learn from mistakes and the lessons learned from it is the most valuable assets in my life. Like the saying, you can’t have flowers without rainy day. No pain, no gain. Learning from mistakes is a way to bettering myself.

Nature beauty
I’m grateful for the beauty of nature. The silence and beauty of the nature helps to calm my emotions. Spending time outside, exploring with my eyes gives me the chance to slow down, to see the beauty and the creativity of God’s creation.

Freedom
Freedom to live. Freedom to speech. Freedom to vote. etc. Be grateful to freedom. Remember, we are the beneficiaries.
