If I only could be in power I would make all the mothers of the world See their children walking On a sunny cheerful path, Not in the war's blood.

If I only could be in power I would make the homeless ones Feel the warmth of their own home, Forget the coldness of abandonment And the struggle to survive.

If I only could be in power I would fulfill each man's heart With the feeling of the unconditional Love So that they would always know Where they come from and where they belong.

If I only were in power I would make brotherhood and peace The only language of each man So that we would never hurt Anybody else.

I would not wish anything to myself Just to see my beloved ones safe Just to know they live in Love As each and every man on Earth. I wish there was no pain here.

And if I only could change anything I would dismiss sickness, poverty and suffering. Oh, if each of us could make a change In a few people's lives... That would be enough To change the world.
